Dr. P.D. Jaco B.S., M.S., DVM
Dr. Jaco earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Murray State University before graduating with awards from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He is an active member of the community, assisting in the public schools mentoring program for young people who need positive role models. He supports the efforts of the Gideon International to distribute Bibles around the world. As a member of the Marshall County health Department Board of Directors, he is civic minded and well read on public health. He is most accommodating and is dedicated to pets and pet owners.
Dr. Daria Koym, B.S., DVM
Dr. Koym graduated from Texas A&M University Veterinary College in 1976. She has practiced veterinary medicine in Idaho, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Virginia and Kentucky. Dr. Koym continues to enjoy veterinary medicine while working with Companion Animal Hospital. Her family includes retired Lt. Col. Ray Koym (husband), three daughters, three sons-in-law, three granddaughters, and four grandsons, with more anticipated in the future! Two dogs, two cats and a very spoiled 26 year old mare complete the family. Dr. Koym enjoys meeting “family” of patients while living in Marshall County. Dr. Koym considers herself to be wonderfully blessed by God to be able to be a part of Companion Animal Hospital’s dedicated, empathetic, and knowledgeable tradition of patient care in Marshall County.
Angela Sames – B.S., Veterinary Technician and Office Manager
Angela began working at Companion Animal Hospital in February 2005. She is a veterinary technician and office manager. She graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, with an Area in Animal Health Technology. Angela and her husband, William, love to travel, and spend as much time as possible exploring new place. They have 2 dogs: Roxie and Curtis, and 4 cats: Carrots, Eunice, Betty and Edna.
Amanda Crittenden, B.S. Veterinary Technician
Amanda joined the team at Companion Animal Hospital in January, 2016. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from high school in 2004, and went into the Marine Corps in 2005. Amanda did two tours in Iraq (2006 and 2008). Amanda moved to Murray, KY after getting out of the Marine Corps, and attended Murray State University. She graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Agriculture with an Area in Animal Health Technology. Amanda has 2 daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a green iguana.
Stacey Ragsdale – Public Relations Coordinator
Stacey began working as a receptionist for Companion Animal Hospital in January of 2007. She graduated from Marshall County High School and went on to Murray State to pursue a bachelor of science degree in psychology. Stacey and her husband Chris have two sons: Grayson and Jackson, five dogs: Harvey, Moxxy, Jersey, Bash and Ryker, and a cat named Doug.
Shanay Dycus- Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Shanay is a veterinary assistant/receptionist and has been with Companion Animal Hospital since June 2014. She and her husband have a daughter, 2 dogs and a cat. When she’s not at work, Shanay is a motorhead and enjoys fast cars and spending time with her family.
We make it a priority to always be giving back to the community. Dr. Jaco visits the public schools educating kids on such things as zoonotic diseases and animal husbandry. He also mentors young adults from Marshall County Exceptional Center.
